Luxury mohair cardigan uk 12-16 - one only

Stunning premium mohair yarn in rich royal blue. It’s a chunky mohair knitted on 6mm needles not the fine ethereal type of mohair like kidsilk lace. 
This is a one off commission that a customer was unfortunately unable to complete due to a change in her circumstances.
I am putting for sale for her so she can have her deposit returned and it covers the cost of the yarn.

Size from 10 to 14-16 uk size

I have it modelled on 2 friends in the pictures

1 is a uk 6 and the other is a uk 12-14 so it’s a very forgiving sized cardigan. This would be a wonderfully warm cardigan on cold days or a Godsend if you are prone to feeling the cold.

It was designed with slightly balloon sleeves. The customer wanted fuller sleeves than a standard cardigan but not too full that they would be cumbersome. 

Care. THis will require hand washing to make sure it stays looking at its best. I know you can buy super products like woolite and wool soaps. But if it is washed in Fairy or any other Non Bio liquid in tepid water. Palpate it whilst it’s wet and squash different areas of the Cardi ‘GENTLY’ and never scrub any delicate or wool garment. I leave for 5 mins to soak, Palpate in the water again and drain and rinse. Then lay the garment flat on 1 or 2 towels like it’s sandwiched between and roll and step on it to squeeze the water out.

get another dry towel and lay your knit on the towel shape it into its optimal shape and leave to dry overnight 

RINSING ON THE MACHINE CYCLE WILL FELT WOOL garments! I know this through my own stupidity 🫪😳🫣 Never ever be tempted if your short on time. Spinning the water out of the garment using the machine is possible but don’t make the mistake of leaving the rinse on too (as per previous comment - you have forewarning). ONly do so if you are confident that you know your washing machine settings so leave it until you have 15 mins to do it properly. 
I I always do a few wool garments at the same. 

once dry if the fibres have flattened slightly a shake will rejuvenate them.
